Nipple: A nipple is a short piece of pipe typically with male threads on both ends. It is used to connect two female threaded fittings or pipes together. Nipples come in various lengths and diameters, and they are often used in plumbing systems to extend or terminate a pipe run.
Socket: A socket in plumbing refers to a type of fitting with a female-threaded opening. It’s designed to accept the male end of a pipe or fitting. Sockets are used to join pipes or fittings together by sliding one end into the socket of another and securing it with a suitable method such as solvent cementing, threading, or welding.
Tee reducer: A tee reducer is a type of pipe fitting that combines the functions of a tee and a reducer. A tee fitting has three openings at 90-degree angles to each other, resembling the letter “T”. A reducer fitting is used to connect pipes of different diameters. A tee reducer essentially allows branching of a pipe system while simultaneously reducing the pipe diameter in one of the branches. This can be useful for directing fluid flow in various directions while accommodating changes in pipe size.
4 .Elbow: An elbow is a plumbing fitting that allows for a change in the direction of a piping system. Elbows are typically available in 45-degree, 90-degree, and 180-degree angles, allowing pipes to be routed around obstacles or to fit into tight spaces. They can be made of various materials, including metal, PVC, or copper, and can have threaded, solvent-weld, or socket ends depending on the application.
5.Forged Flanges: Forged flanges are devices used to connect pipes, valves, pumps, and other equipment to form a piping system. They provide a method for assembling and disassembling piping components for maintenance or modifications. Forged flanges are manufactured by forging a solid piece of material (such as stainless steel, carbon steel, or alloy steel) into the desired flange shape. They come in various types, including weld neck, slip-on, blind, socket weld, and threaded flanges, each designed for specific applications and connection methods.
6.Bend: In plumbing and piping, a bend is a curved fitting used to change the direction of a pipe without using an elbow. Bends are available in various angles and radii to suit different piping requirements. They can be made from materials like PVC, copper, or steel, and can be solvent-welded, soldered, or threaded onto pipes. Bends are commonly used in both residential and industrial piping systems to navigate around obstacles or to create gradual turns in the piping layout.
